About Katerina

Katerina Mina is making a name for herself as one of the finest spinto sopranos of her generation. The London based Greek-Cypriot opera soprano Katerina Mina graduated from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama with full scholarships from the Corporation of London and the A.G. Leventis Foundation. Katerina was a prize winner at the “Julián Gayarre International Singing Competition” in Spain and the “Consorso Vocale Internationale di Musica Sacra” in Italy.

In the following months Katerina will be recording her first Album with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Maestro Grzegorz Nowak. Katerina will also perform Alessandro Valtulini’s Ave Maria in F Minor at Teatro alla Scala in Milan, with the Philharmonia Orchestra. This will be the World Première performance of the piece.
Furthermore, Katerina Mina will sing the role of Elisabetta in Don Carlo in a new film production by Enzo Sisti, conducted by Plácido Domingo.

Katerina performs extensively as a soloist in England, Germany, Russia, U.S.A, Italy, France, Spain, Mexico, Greece, Cyprus, the Middle East and Far East. Katerina is the recipient of the Russian Federation’s Medal for ‘Peace and Friendship’. The Medal was presented to her by the President of the Moscow Peace Foundation at the end of 2015, following one of her performances in Moscow.
