Dear friends,
I hope that you are well and had a wonderful time at Christmas. The New Year is not far away now, and I would like to send you my very best wishes for a Happy, Healthy, Prosperous and Creative 2o11 !!!
I am very thankful for being so busy with my singing this year, and I look forward to a little bit of a break in February where I can recharge the batteries and start working on new repertoire. Since the beginning of November I performed at Megaron in Athens, sang in Cyprus twice, gave three different concerts in London with a hugely rewarding performance of Verdi’s Requiem, and recorded my first CD in Athens – a production of Classical Irida record label, to be released in 2011.
I’ve actually just returned to the UK from Athens, and have started revising the role of Donna Elvira from Don Giovanni. I’m very excited to be singing the role again, in a full production of the opera in Bahrain at the end of January.
I have been nominated again this year for the Madame Figaro ‘Woman of the Year’ awards and I am very happy about this, despite winning the prize two years ago. You can vote for me on this link http://figaro-awards.diasmedia.com/votes/vote Thank you!
My name appears third in the very first box, under the category of Performer, and the voting ends on the 11th of January.
I promise to write again at the beginning of the new year! Till then I send you my love, best wishes and lots of happiness!!!
