Kalimera sas, good morning everyone!
It’s been a while since I last wrote a blog, purely because I’ve been so busy…….. performing, rehearsing, writing emails… and promoting the ‘Hymn for Cyprus’ Peace comes as a Dream composed by Roman Kariolou, which was released on iTunes TODAY!!! I have had so many requests about the ‘Hymn for Cyprus’ since my BBC interview, and I am very happy that it is now available on iTunes to download. You will be able to find it easily when you search for ‘Hymn for Cyprus’ . I have also added some great comments from people who listened to the interview and you will be able to read them under ‘Audience Comments’ within the Blog Page of the site.
I hope that you are all well and happy, creative and full of Life! I have a very busy schedule ahead, but I am very thankful to be busy and take one day at a time. At the moment I am working on four different projects at the same time, which is very taxing for the mind and for the voice.
I just wanted to tell you what a terrific time I had on Saturday 23/10 at BBC London Radio, on DJ Ritu’s amazing show ‘A World in London’ . What an honour it was for me to give a whole hour’s interview to DJ Ritu, who I must say was excellent in every sense; she was so well prepared with very interesting questions and directed the whole interview extremely well. I had such a great, relaxing and exciting time and I sincerely and wholeheartedly thank DJ Ritu for inviting me on her show. The interview was very well received and the response has been fantastic! Thank you all for your great comments!!! You can still catch the interview for a couple of more days on http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/radio/bbc_london/20101023 under DJ Ritu’s show at 8pm. My interview starts just before 9pm.
I will be off to Cyprus soon to perform with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra in memory of Kyriakos Matsis, four beautiful songs composed by Mihalis Christodoulides with whom I will collaborate for the first time. Very excited about it! As I am also very excited about the concert I will give with pianist Elena Mouzalas on the 9th of November, at the beautiful concert Hall of the Hellenic Centre in London. The concert, which will be a celebration of Chopin’s and Schumann’s breathtaking song cycles, will be repeated at Megaron, the Athens Concert Hall at the end of November. I look forward to seeing you at the concert! Please book your tickets early through the Hellenic Centre’s box office on 020 7487 5060 or from Local Box Office at https://www.localboxoffice.com/browse/category/1
With all my love,
KaterinaXxX
