Moscow,Pafos,Nicosia,Saratov,London...

… I am trying to beat the two months gap between my posts!!!

I hope that you are all well and happy. The last couple of months have been very challenging but also very rewarding for me, jumping from one project to another, and from one aeroplane to another! At one point I had to unpack my suitcase full of summer clothes after working in Cyprus for 10 days, and pack again the next day with winter clothes to go to Saratov in the Russian Federation…

This wonderful period started off with rehearsals on Nedda I Pagliacci, with the Kolobov Novaya Opera Theatre of Moscow; working daily with excellent colleagues on the main stage of the auditorium in Moscow was such a wonderful thing, leading to a great show within the ‘Kypria’ International Music Festival. Production photos will soon be added on the Images Pages of the website, watch out for the ‘colombine’ with the mini black skirt!!!

The new project I was involved in for the opening of the Spa at the Almyra Hotel in Pafos was equally a success, and one that I would love to repeat again. I enjoyed a lot mixing my operatic voice with electronic music while singing my own melodies and improvisations in a live performance, and I hope to be able to record this project soon.

After a long 15 hour train journey from Moscow to Saratov for more singing… and back… I was happy finally to return to London at the end of September! Just finished with performing two recitals, one in London with pianist Anthony Legge and tenor James Edwards and the other one in Colchester with pianist Simon Crawford-Phillips within the 7th Roman River Festival; and look forward to preparing for my Athens Concert Hall debut in November.

I promise to write again soon, with more news and updates, including adding very exciting photos and new aria recordings on the website!

I leave you with some beautiful words on happiness that I read today, thanks to a very good friend who emailed them to me: ‘Every day is a gift, and as long as I can open my eyes, I will focus on the new day, and all the happy memories that I have built up during my life’.
